Information You Send
Search terms
A name, place, or other phrase entered into a search box is passed to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Wheeler County Busted Mugshots does not keep a separate search log of those entries on its own servers, though the provider may handle the request under its own policy.
Messages and contact details
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and supplied reply details are retained long enough to respond, protect the service, or meet a legal duty. They are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to handle the request.
Technical Data from Visits
Like most online services, the pages may receive routine technical information when they load. This can include:
- Internet Protocol address and approximate network location.
- Browser name, version, and language settings.
- Device type, operating system, and screen details.
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
- The referring page, when a browser sends one.
- Visit and request timestamps.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages, maintain basic functions, or support advertising and analytics. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when those files are refused.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
- Keep the pages available and improve load speed.
- Send a search request to the correct outside provider.
- See which topics are useful to visitors.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical failures.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
Links to Other Services
Pages link to the Wheeler sheriff directory, which identifies Sheriff Glenn Giles and the Wheeler County Jail contact, the county clerk, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy practices apply after a visitor follows the link. Wheeler County Busted Mugshots does not control how another provider stores or uses information.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar technology to measure activity across different services and select ads. That tracking occurs on the partner's systems and is governed by the partner's notices and controls.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by Wheeler County Busted Mugshots. It may nevertheless be processed by the following parties when needed to operate the service or comply with law:
- Search partners that receive a query submitted through their tool.
- Analytics providers that report page performance and use.
- Advertising networks and their measurement vendors.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the operator's control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that data will never be exposed, intercepted, or lost.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may ask that it be deleted by using the Contacts route.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about that person.
- Correct a factual error in that information.
- Request deletion of information that the operator is allowed to remove.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing, including some marketing activity.
A request may not reach data held by a sheriff, court, GDC, news outlet, or search partner. Those records must be addressed to the organization that controls them.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised as the service, tools, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here, with an updated effective date when appropriate. Continued use after a change means the updated practices apply.
